My first trip abroad was Italy for my honeymoon. We spent 10 days covering 4 cities and it was nowhere near enough time. I wish we had spent less time seeing “the sights” and more time exploring the culture and architecture.
The sun sets behind the Church of San Giorgio Maggiore in Venice, washing it in alternating twilight and gold. I typically don’t actively set out to shoot cities, but this sight really grabbed me.
The sun sets over St. Peter’s Basillica at the Vatican.
Burana is the island of lace and rainbow houses, reduced here to monochrome uniformity.
The sun sets behind the coast in Sorrento, bathing the port in shadow.
